I will speaking at the Professional Business Networker's Luncheon (Food For Thought) on 7 July on my approach to life personally and professionally sharing bits and pieces from my autobiography; "Dreaming of the Majors;Living in the Bush, currently in the Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, New York.
Lefty tells his life story to motivate you to never give up on your Dreams!
By all counts, Dick "Lefty" O'Neal didn't have a chance of playing professional baseball. However, today he holds the distinction of being the only white baseball player to pitch for two teams in the Negro Leagues that flourished throughout the twentieth century. Dreaming of the Majors is his account of the dream he nurtured from the age of five to play Major League baseball, the people God brought into his life who shaped the dream, and the amazing and unexpected twists and turns Dick experienced along the journey toward fulfilling the dream.

“My story is about one person with the right purpose, surrounded by the right people, making a difference. My prayer is that this book inspires you to make a positive difference one person at a time. Looking back on my life I’ve often wondered what ... if you try hard enough you will make it to the top ... really means. If you don’t make it then what! Hopefully my life’s journey will encourage you when you are down and remind you to never quit trying to make a positive difference in other lives”.
He and his wife, Harriett, live in Universal City, Texas. They are the parents of two wonderful adult children, Amy, and Richard.
